Before travelling to Spain, it is important that you find out the stores in the area that you are targeting so as to know the kind of operations they run. This will help you know whether to carry your credit card or settle for cash transactions. As said earlier, it is always easy to use a credit card. It is also safer than carrying cash with you as it is very hard to lose a credit card. If for any reasons you do lose your credit card, arrangements can be made with the credit card provider so as to block any more transactions from that credit card.
